Making a stand at factor[e]

Oh so many punsibilities with this little bit of news.

Over the past little while we've been reading a lot about the merits of standing all day vs. sitting all day. The general gist of most of them being that sitting will kill you. I really don't think it's all that bad, but given my amazing ability to slouch and *incredible* posture I figured it might be a good idea.

So, with Marc being the driving force and Martin (literally) standing in as our case study Marc and I have just set up our first standing desks.

It's only been a few hours, but the first thing I've noticed is how much more alert I feel. I've also noticed I need better insoles.Either way I'm starting to get into this. We'll post updates and let you know how it goes.

And in case you were wondering, everyone else in the office thinks we're crazy.

Here's a little bit of reading if you're at all curious:

Are You Sitting Down? Why Standing Up Might Save Your Life - A bit of history, a bit of information and a few links to other articles that have been written.

I love it! Much more hard core than sitting on a wimpy old balance ball.

Great article guys!

I've been thinking about making the switch to a standing desk as well.

There's so many mixed reviews, so I'm looking forward to reading the updates.
