I've been doing a ton of iOS development lately, and out of curiosity I started playing around with Cocos2d, which is an excellent library for building 2d games. Utilizing a tutorial from the awesome Ray Wenderlich site, I started building a simple game based on a game concept from my college days, which is going back around 12 years or so now. We've recently begun the transition to CS6 in the office on the design side. I was really pleased to hear that Adobe was introducing pixel snapping and the ability to input ordinates for vector shapes- it's made creating pixel perfect layouts much easier. Adobe also introduced some interesting text formatting abilities completely new to Photoshop that have been around for years in InDesign. Read more...
A few months ago now we did a report on the Social Consumer, this was Part 1 in a continuing series on the notion of the social consumer and marketing through channels (such as Social Media and SEO) that, despite the absolute imperative for firms to participate in them, are still ridiculously referred to as “non-traditional.
